Enthusiasts from seven countries have signed up to swim the Galata – Varna marathon.The 84th edition of the oldest swimming competition in our country will be held on August 4, Sunday.
So far, there are 130 men and women from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Belgium and Turkey willing to take part in it, and the organizers expect their number to grow.Traditionally, Galata – Varna is the most awaited competition by swimming lovers in the summer and is filled with a series of exciting, unforgettable emotions.
The start will be given by the Quarantine, but this yearat an earlier time – 9:00 a.m. The winners for men and women will be awarded BGN 1,200 each, 2nd place – BGN 900 each, 3rd place – BGN 700 each, 4place – BGN 600 each, 5th place – BGN 500 each, 6th place – BGN 400 each. The swimmer with the most participation in the marathon will be rewarded with a premium of BGN 250, the same amount will also be given to the athlete with disabilities who completed the marathon.
The fee for online registered participants on the marathon website https://www.varnamaraton.info/bg/is 30 BGN (15 EUR), and for on-site registration – 40 BGN (20 EUR).
