The 80th Galata – Varna swimming marathon will have a new assembly point.
For the first time, the participants will gather not at the Maritime Station, but right at the start – in the area “Quarantine”, “Asparuhovo” district, in front of the monument (see map). The distance in a straight line from Cape Galata to Officer Beach – East is about 4500 meters. The change is necessary due to the epidemic situation in the country.
For the convenience of swimmers without transport, a bus with a sign of the marathon will depart from the Cathedral every 10 minutes from 7.00 to 8.00 in the morning.
Applications for participation can be submitted from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. in front of the Quarantine Monument.
We would like to remind that those who want to participate in the marathon must come to the assembly point with two completed and signed declarations – for the commitment to independently overcome the distance and for consent to the processing of personal data.

The deadline for online registration on the marathon’s website expires on Thursday, July 30th.
