Starting this year, a fully online registration for the marathon is being introduced

From the eightieth anniversary edition of the Galata – Varna marathon, a new registration system for participation is being introduced. Those wishing to participate in this year’s edition of the event must register online. The registration platform will start on the marathon page www.varnamaratom.info , menu “Registration”, within days, when the exact conditions for registration and the registration deadline will be announced. Swimmers who are not registered online by the deadline will not be allowed to participate. The organizers specify that the ones registered so far in last year’s registration forms must re-register on the new platform.

At the suggestion of the chief judge of the marathon Mr.Vili Tsekov in connection with the anniversary edition of the marathon, the control time for finishing of the swimmers is increased from 90 to 100 minutes after the final of the winner. “The idea is, in connection with the holiday for more people to successfully complete the swimming,” Mr.Tsekov said.
