For the first time in the history of the swimming marathon Galata – Varna, the participants will finish on the beach, and not as it was before – on the “Buna” #2. This decision was made during the first meeting of the Organizing Committee, which was held at the hall “Yunashki salon” in Varna.
Preparations for the 80th anniversary edition of the traditional event have already begun. The marathon is on Sunday, August 2. This year Galata – Varna will be fully compliant with the requirements imposed by the epidemic situation in the country as of the date.
The organizers of the forum are the Navy of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Municipality of Varna and the swimming champion of Bulgaria PSK “Black Sea”.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the anniversary edition is the Mayor of Varna Mr.Ivan Portnih. The event is under the patronage of the Minister of Sports Mr.Krasen Kralev.
